Hello! You know what they say, Hockey is the greatest sport ever. We would like to prove that with another weekly recap. Also, we will have two weekly recaps for all of you since we were waiting on scores from one league last week. On our first night we take you out to our Boxboro league. In our first game, In an exciting match up with White vs. Black we have Yowan Yoon leading the Black team in a Pavel Zacha OT winner like performance as Yowan Yoon lights the lamp three times for the Black team. But, not so fast as Giles Lawton skates with the puck and nets in two of his own for the White team. Post game interviews with teammates said he would be an excellent draft pick next year for the reigning champion Florida Panthers. As the game ends in a 5-5 tie. In our second game of the night we have the Vegas Gold team against the Red team. As Matthew Remsberg and Brian Elliot get two points each as they are both making a case as to how they could easily beat the whole New York Islanders defense on a 2 vs. 2. As the Red team wins the game 5-1.

As both our Newton leagues and our Nashua league take the week off for Thanksgiving we take you straight out to Hooksett. In our first game we have the Black team playing the Vegas Gold team, as Matthias Downey and the Black team come out and take a demanding lead in the first period. Matthias’s 3 point performance reminded his teammates of the  performance of Joe Malone who once scored 7 goals against the Toronto St. Patrick’s back in January of 1920. I am sure we all remember that one. Just when you think the game is over Matt Dion comes out to make things interesting and puts his team on the board late into the second period making it a 5-2 game. Matt Dion’s teammates are starting to make a case as why he should be a Norris trophy write-in winner for the NHL’s top defenseman at the end of this season. As the Black team comes out on top with a 7-3 win. In our second game of the night Michael Cappucci and the Red team take on the Green team as Mike channel’s his inner Peter Forsberg and has a 4 point game as the Red team beats the Green team 4-1. In our second league of the night we take you out to Tyngsboro. In our first game we have the Red team playing the Green team. The Green team comes out strong and has 2 three point players. Rick Kelly and Sean Green are making a strong case to become the next Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman of the Tyngsboro league. Just as you think things in this game are calming down, Edwin Krug shows the whole Tyngsboro league how he could take Auston Matthews in a relay race around the rink and nets four goals for the Red team with the final score being 7-5 with the Red team defeating the Green team. In our second game of the Tyngsboro league we have the Yellow team taking on the Light Blue team. As the Yellow team’s John Ruble and Gary Melville each have a 2 point night showing us how they could both beat retired Penguins net minder Tom Barrasso in a shootout competition. With the Yellow team winning by a score of 3-1.

In our last league of the week we take you out to Woburn. In our first game we have the Red team vs. the Black team. As the Red team’s Craig Clark and Eric Davidson become the Brent Burns and Brad Park of their generation and each having a 3 point game leading the Red team to victory by a score of 7-2. In our second game of the night we have a Shutout of a night when the Green team takes on the Vegas Gold team. Tony Smith blanks the Vegas Gold team. It was like watching  George Hainsworth get 22 shutouts and the Vezina trophy in the 1928-1929 season. What a great season that was as I am sure we all remember that one. The final score of the game was 2-0.

Congratulations to all the teams and players!
