Hello everybody, as we are all getting ready for Thanksgiving let’s get down to it. It is time for our weekly recap here at The Hockey Academy. Our first game this past week we will take you out to Boxboro as Finn Garvey and the Vegas Gold team, take on Michael Thomas and the Black team. Finn comes out and show us why his teammates call him the Connor McDavid of the Boxboro league as he leads Vegas Gold with two goals to an early 3-2 lead. But wait, what is this, Michael Thomas goes and transforms into his generations Patrick Marleau and gets the game winner for Black with almost no time left. As the Black team wins a very close game by a score of 4-3. In our second game of the night we have the Red team taking on the White team. As Michael Lipp scores a hat trick for the Red team. Post game interviews with his teammates said he is always doing things like that, they also said he could totally beat recent San Jose Sharks retired number honoree Joe Thornton in a 1 vs. 1 battle. As the Red team beats the White team by a score of 6-2.

In our second night of the week we take you out to Newton in our Upper C division. Our first games of the night we have the Green team vs. the Yellow team. The Green team is led by Jonathan Seibel and Jeff Kenney as both players score two goals each. Both players show us how they could be Zach Parise and Rick Nash in their primes with their slick moves and abilities. With the final score of the game having the Green team win by a score of 6-2. In our second game of the night we have the Gray team against the Red team. As, Leo Ihlberg scores the tying goal with 4 seconds left in the game and shows his teammates why he could be the next Kirill Kaprizov. As this game ends in a 3-3 tie.

Onto our Thursday night games in Nashua and our Lower D division in Newton. First we take you out to Nashua where the Light Blue team took on the Green team. It was a very back and forth game with the Green team’s Mike Stuart and Jim Cashins leading the charge for them. As both players could easily take on Evander Kane and Ryan Reaves in a 2 vs 2. Just when you think the Green team has a steady lead, Leland Lowe comes out of nowhere and nets two goals for the Light Blue team. Showing us why he could beat Igor Shesterkin single handily in an NHL shootout competition. With Light Blue scoring 2 empty netters to make the final score 8-5. In our second game of the night out in Nashua we have the Black team vs. the White team. Another very back and forth game but the White team’s very own twin of Sidney Crosby Jeff Ladabouche comes out and scores two goals in the third period. Making the final score 6-3 with the victory going to the White team. In our Newton league we have the Red team playing the Green team. The Red team had 2 four point performances with Brian Murstein and Chris Ryan. Both players looked like they could play for the New York Rangers being wings for Chris Kreider on a line. As the Green team wins the game by a score of 4-1. In our second game in Newton, we have the Black team vs. the Light Blue team as Andrew Wigren scores the game winner for the Black team showing us why he could be the Artemi Panarin of the Newton Lower D league. As the Black team defeats the Light Blue team 4-2.

Next, we take you out to our Sunday night leagues. First, in Tyngsboro we have the Yellow team vs. the Red team. The Yellow team is led to victory by Christopher Streeter and Sean Penney who both have two points each. In post game interviews their teammates feel that they will be easy write ins for the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy. Given to the NHL’s top goal scorer at the end of every season. As the Yellow team beats the Red team by a score of 6-4. Then, in our next game we have the Green team vs. the Light Blue team, as Scott Manchester and Owen Finnegan lead the Light Blue team to victory and show us why they could beat Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak in a 2 vs. 2 battle. The final score of the game has the Light Blue team winning 7-4. Then, in our Hooksett league we have the Green team against the Vegas Gold team. The Green team opens the first period with a penalty shot from Tyler Windt. For you Mighty Duck fans it was like watching Charlie Conway score with his triple deke. But then, out of nowhere Matt Dion comes out and scores 4 goals and you can see why all his teammates call him Auston Matthews. As Vegas Gold wins by a score of 5-4. For our next game we have the Red team vs. the Black team. With the game ending in a 6-6 tie. Sean McGaughy leads the Red team with 3 points and Joseph Downey leads the Black team with two goals. Showing their teammates why both players could take Bruins legend Shawn Thornton in a 1 vs. 1 battle.

In our last games of the week, we take you out to Woburn. In our first match of the night we have the Green team vs. the Black team. As Keith Medeiros and Tom Spellman get 2 points each and show us why they are the Leon Draisaitl and the Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of the Woburn league. With the Green team beating the Black team by a score of 6-3. In our second game of the night we have the Red team playing the Vegas Gold team. This game ends in a 5-5 tie. The Vegas Gold team was lead by Steve Freitas with a 3 point game. It was like watching Steve Yzerman back when he was on the Red Wings. While the Black teams Craig Clark and Kevin Moriarty score 2 goals each as they could both easily take Nicklas Lidstrom and Brando Carlo in a 2 vs. 2 defensive battle.

Congratulations to all the teams and their players. Also we here at The Hockey Academy want to wish all of you and your families the happiest and safest of Thanksgiving!
