We are back for another week of Hockey here at The Hockey Academy. In our first games of the week we take you out to Boxboro. In our first game of the night we have the Vegas Gold team vs. the White team. Finn Garvey has an incredible four goal game for the Vegas Gold team, in post game interviews teammates said he is his generations Mark Recchi with his moves and abilities, it was like when Recchi helped the Bruins win the Stanley cup in 2011. The final score of the game had Vegas Gold beating the White team by a score of 7-2. In our second game of the night we had the Red team vs. the Black team, Josh Gold transformed into our modern day Mike Modano and had a four point game, helping the Red team beat the Black team by a score of 4-2.

In Newton this past week we have our Upper C division with our first game of the night being the Yellow team vs. the Red team. With the Red team’s Quinn Boulerice having a standout performance and playing like the one and only Jari Kurri when he was in his prime helping the Red team beat the Yellow team by a score of 4-1. In our second game of the night we have the Green team vs. the Gray team. Jonathan Seibel comes out for the Green team and has a four point game as his teammates now call him Brendan Shanahan for his slick moves and quick feet. The Green team beat the Gray team by a score of 5-3.

Then, in our third night of the week we take you out to our Nashua and Newton Lower D leagues. In Nashua, in our first game we have the Green team playing the Black team. As Leland Lowe and Erick Anderson each get a hat trick and show us why they could easily beat Daniel Alfredsson and Marian Hossa in a 2 vs. 2 battle. With the final score being 10-6 with the win going to the Green team. In our second game of the night we have the White team vs. the Light Blue team. The White team’s Greg Fehling has a 5 point game and shows us how he can easily beat Jordan Binnington in a 5 round shootout competition and go 5 for 5. As the White team comes on top with the W beating the Light Blue team by a score of 6-2. Out in Newton this past Thursday night, we had the Red team play the Black team in a very close 2-1 game. With less than 3 minutes left in the game, Chris Mitchell comes out of nowhere for the Red team, and scores the game winning goal. His teammates have now given him the nickname Phil Kessel as the three time Stanley Cup winner could not beat Chris Mitchell in a 1 vs. 1 battle. In our second game of the night we have the Light Blue team playing the Green team. As the Light Blue team has multiple two point scorers with Jason Ciavattone, Ed Kelley, and Ryan Kelley all get two points each. It is like watching the 2024-2025 1st place Winnipeg Jets first line compete in a game. The final score of the game was 5-2 with the Light Blue team winning the game.

Onto our Sunday night leagues in Hooksett and Tyngsboro. First, we take you out to Tyngsboro as the Yellow team plays the Green team. The Yellow teams John Ruble and Tim Lemire get 3 points each and show us why they are the Max Pacorietty and Blake Wheeler of the Tyngsboro league. Beating the Green team by a score of 7-2. In our second game of the night we have the Light Blue team against the Red team. As the Light blue team beats the Red team 13-0 as goalie Mario Leclerc becomes the next Adin Hill when he led the Vegas Golden Knights to the Stanley Cup in 2023. In our second league of the night we take you out to Hooksett. In our first game in Hooksett, we have the Green team vs. the Black team. With the Green team’s Tyler Windt coming out and playing like Tony Amonte and scoring a hat trick for them. But, Matthias Downey comes out for the Black team with almost no time left on the board and ties the game up. Showing us why he could take Jamie Benn in a 1 vs. 1 battle. With the final score of the game being 4-4. In our second game of the night we have the Vegas Gold team playing the Red team. As the Red team takes the game by a score of 9-2, being led by Michael Cappucci and having a 5 point game. In post game interviews, his teammates have given him the nickname Pavel Zacha.

Now, we take you out to our Monday night league in Woburn. In our first game of the night we had the Red team against the Green team. The Red team’s Eric Davidson shows his teammates how he could be the next Joe Pavelski with his hat trick performance as the Red team beats the Green team by a score of 6-4. In our second game of the night we have the Black team vs. the Vegas Gold team. As Vegas Gold’s John Maguire gets two goals on the night and is giving the NHL a reason to make him a write in for the Hart Trophy at the end of the 2025 season. The final score of the Vegas Gold vs. Black team is 5-5.

Congratulations to all the teams and all the players!
