Our first game of the night was the Black team vs. the Red team. The Red team’s Kevin Moriarty comes out and shows us why he could easily score in a breakaway competition against Connor Hellebuyck with a hat trick game for the Red team in a game where the Red team beats the Black team by a score of 6-2. In our second game of the night we have the Green team playing the Vegas Gold team. With Keith Medeiros coming out and showing us why he would have a field day in a game of keep away with Mike Bossy in his prime with the New York Islanders, with the Green team beating the Vegas Gold team by a score of 4-1.
In our second night of the week we take you out to Boxboro as the first game of the night is the Vegas Gold vs. the Red team, the Vegas Gold team had one two point scorer as Paul Kamenski also known in the league as Bill Guerin, with his slick moves and awesome ability to see the ice. While the Red team had two, two point scorers as Justin Lin and Matthew Remsberg also known as Jeff Skinner and Jordan Staal help lead the Red team back from a 2-0 deficit ending in a 2-2 tie as both teams had an all around great effort. In our second game of the night we had the White team vs. the Black team with Yowan Yoon having a game like no other, he became his generations T.J. Oshie, scoring an incredible 6 goals. It was like watching when Oshie helped team USA beat team Russia in a shootout back in 2014 at the Olympics. With the Black team beating the White team by a score of 6-4.
In our third night of the week we take you out to Newton with our upper C division match up’s. First we have the Yellow team playing the Gray team. As Tyler Joe transforms into Cam Neely and has a 6 point game. With Tyler having incredible speed and a great shot just like Cam Neely, it was like watching his twin. With the final score of the game being 9-4 going to the Yellow team. In our second game of the night we have the Red team playing against the Green team. The games final results ended in a 4-4 tie. With Mike Antonitis getting two points for the Red team and showing us why he could beat Mitch Marner in a 1 vs. 1. While Jonathan Seibel has a 3 point night and shows us why he could easily take on all of the Bruins defensemen and beat them in a 1 vs. 1.
Then, we take you out to our two Thursday night leagues. We will start in Newton. It was a very close game in our lower D division with Mark Woodbury scoring the game winning goal and having a 5 point game. Post game interviews with teammates said he is looking better than Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby combined. The final score was the Red team beating the Light Blue team 7-6. In our second game of the night in Newton they were deadlocked goose eggs throughout the whole game. With Edward Gresco getting the shutout for the Green team and Michael Hagerstrom getting the shutout for the Black team. It was like watching Marc Andre-Fleury and Martin Brodeur play against each other in their prime. In addition to Thursday nights, we have our Nashua league. We have our first game of the night with the Green team playing the White team. For the Green team we have Jim Cashins leading the charge with a hat trick and showing his teammates why he is his generations John Tavares as the Green team beats the White team 7-3. In our second game of the night we have the Light Blue team playing against the Black team. It was a tight back and forth game. The Black team pulls ahead with two players scoring two goals each for their team. The game winning goal from Yowan Yoon reminding us why his teammates refer to him as Jake DeBrusk with his tenacity and skill. Also, with two goals for the Black team was Maggie Fifield showing us why she could totally take Kendall Coyne in a 1 vs. 1 battle. The final score of the game being 5-4 with the W going to the Black team.
Lastly, we take you out to our two Sunday night leagues in Tyngsboro and Hooksett. In Hooksett this past week we had our first game with the Red team vs. the Green team. For the Red team being led to victory with Michael Cappuci getting two goals and Ryan Livingston also getting two goals. Showing us why this dynamic duo could totally have a field day with Macklin Celebrini and Connor Bedard. With the final of the game being 6-2 going to the Green team/ In our second game of the night we had the Black team taking on the Vegas Gold team. With the Black team scoring the game winning goal from Joseph Downey with the Black team taking the game by a score of 5-4. Joseph Downey’s game winning goal reminded his teammates and league officials of recent Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee Jeremy Roenick’s 500th career goal. Next, in our second league of the night we take you out to Tyngsboro. Our first game of the night was the Yellow team playing against the Light Blue team with the Light Blue team’s Scott Manchester transforming into Evgeni Malkin and scoring two goals to lead the Light Blue team past the Yellow team in a 4-2 game. In our last game of the week we had the Red team take on the Green team. As Jim Mulchahey gets the shutout in a great Tony Esposito like performance.
