Hello all you Jeremy Swayman fans! We are back in action for another great week of Hockey. Week 3 of the regular season begins as we take you out to our Boxboro Tuesday Night league. Our first game was a very close game with White playing Vegas Gold, Tyler Burns and Finn Gavey go back and forth with scoring goals, it was like watching Jack Eichel and Connor McDavid play back in 2015 when they both got drafted and seeing who was going to get the edge on each other, as the Vegas Gold team comes out on top with a Score of 5-4. In our second game of the night, it is the Black team vs. the Red team as Mike Stuart gets his first goose egg of the season playing like Tim Thomas when Thomas won the Conn Smythe and the Bruins won the Stanley Cup back in 2011. The final score of the Black vs. Red game was 3-0.
Next, we take you out to our Wednesday Night Newton Upper C league division, where in our first game the Yellow team led by Eamonn McLean and Jeff Hall takes the Red team by a score of 4-2. In our second game of the night Pasi Janne gets the hat trick and becomes Connor Bedard with his speed and his determination, while giving the Grey team the edge over the Green team with the Grey team winning by a score of 8-5.
On Thursday nights we have two of our leagues happening, one happening in Nashua and the other happening in Newton. First, we take you out to Nashua, Where the Green team edges out the Black team in a score of 9-5, The Green team had a dominating first period with goals from Paul Lemire, an eventual hat trick from Mike Stuart, and two from Jim Cashins who is the Bobby Orr of our time. Also, the game winning goal from Jeff Geary with a from the knees assist from John Maguire. Maguire’s assist reminded me of Ovechkin’s goal back in 2006 when Ovechkin did a Superman while sliding on the ice, and scored. Our second game in Nashua pits the Light Blue team vs. the White team, Light Blue also had a commanding first period and scores 3 goals in the first keeping the White team off the board. Then, in the second period White comes out hard and fast. The White team gets two goals of their own to make it a 3-2 game going in the second period. But, ultimately Light Blue scores two more goals in the third period to come out on top. The Light Blue team beats the White team by a score of 5-2. Next, we take you out to our Lower D league division in Newton. As Michael Hagerstrom yet again comes out of nowhere and takes the game by storm with his second shutout in a row. He came out and played like the New York Rangers Mike Richter did back in the 1994 Stanley Cup Final. The final score of the game was the Black team beating the Red team by a score of 3-0.
Then, we take you out to our two Sunday Night leagues. In Hooksett we have our first game with the Black team defeating the Green team by a score of 8-2. With the hat trick led by Matthias Downey as he looks like Sergei Samsonov did back in the early 2000’s when he won the Calder Cup trophy. In game number 2 of the evening we have the Vegas Gold team beating the Red team by a score of 5-2. With Vegas Gold’s Matt Dion getting two goals and the eventual game winner. After that, we take you out to our Tyngsboro league games. In our first game of the night we have the Yellow team playing the Green team. John Ruble goes out for the Yellow team and has a 3 point night with two goals and one assist, playing like Brad Marchand with his slick moves and his ability to find the back of the net. The Yellow team prevails against the Green team with a score of 5-2. In our second game of the night, the Light Blue team goes up against the Red team. With Light Blue’s Scott Manchester having an amazing 6 point game being compared to the likes of Martin St. Louis back in 2004. With the Light Blue team beating the Red team by a score of 10-5.
For our last league games of the week we take you out to our Woburn league. Our first game was Green vs. Red with Keith Medeiros and Eric Davidson going back and forth with Keith looking like your modern day Brett Hull with a 3 point game and Eric looking like your modern day Johnny Bucyk with the hat trick. The final score of the game ends in a 5-5 tie as no team is able to get the edge on one another. Then, in our second game, the Vegas Gold team goes against the Black team with the Vegas Gold team having an all around great team effort to defeat the Black team by a score of 3-1.
Congratulations to all the players and teams on another great week of Hockey!
